River Clean-Up Days

PROS hosts Semi-Annual River Clean-Up days on their Ilfeld Area tract of land. After Spring run-off, there is a haul of trash to collect as well as river bank protection work to be done. Invasive Hemlock requires constant management and removal. Riverbank-stabilizing deciduous trees are protected from beavers with simple “beaver basket” installations. All work is done by PROS Board members, volunteers and their families and is accompanied by a picnic lunch. All are welcome. Next River Clean-Up Day TBD.
